Warning: The Thunderbolt manual release should be installed in a location that is easily seen and accessible. The manual release should be disengaged (pulled) prior to manually operating (opening) the internal factory door handle. Deadbolts are intended to protect contents and should not be engaged while the vehicle is occupied as a safety precaution.

Thunderbolt Locks are an aftermarket locking device. Thunderbolt Locks, Inc. does not cover or extend any warranty on any vehicle. It is possible your vehicle’s warranty may be voided by adding any aftermarket products including products from Thunderbolt Locks. It is your responsibility to check prior to ordering or installing the product and Thunderbolt Locks, Inc. takes no responsibility for any loss or voided warranty of any kind.

The Thunderbolt lock products are intended to be used to secure your vehicle, however, Thunderbolt Locks, Inc. does not guarantee that a break-in is not inevitable or the possibility of failure of the product for any reason. Thunderbolt Locks, Inc. takes absolutely no responsibility for any theft, damage to the vehicle, loss of any property whatsoever.

Thunderbolt Locks, Inc. does not take any responsibility for persons being locked out or locked in a vehicle for any reason including battery failure or product failure. The Thunderbolt locks are intended to not be engaged while the vehicle is running or ignition is on. The manual release should be installed in a location that is easily accessible and visible. Thunderbolt Locks, Inc. requires every customer to connect the necessary provided lock inhibitor relay wiring to prevent the locks from engaging while the vehicle is running or ignition is on. Thunderbolt locks should not be engaged if you are operating the locks from the Thunderbolt remote control unit while the vehicle is running or while persons are inside. Thunderbolt locks should be disengaged while driving. Every Thunderbolt lock where a passenger may be riding should have a lock inhibitor installed. Thunderbolt Locks, Inc. or any of its owners or shareholders or employees take absolutely no responsibility for any injuries or death or for any damages that could arise as a result of using or installing our products. Do not order any Thunderbolt products if you do not agree to these terms and conditions.

Shipping

We ship both locally and internationally via UPS. Thunderbolts at their discretion may elect to use an alternative shipper.

 
 

Tariffs & Customs

Our products may be accessed from countries other than the United States and may contain products or references to products or services that are not available outside of the United States. You are responsible for complying with all applicable laws and regulations. When ordering and importing our products into your country you might have to pay any duties, tariffs, and other fees. You are responsible for paying any of these fees. Please check on any related fees prior to ordering. You are also responsible for possibly picking up the shipment if it is held for any reason in your country at customs or similar. Do not order any Thunderbolt products if you do not agree to take responsibility for any additional tariffs or customs fees that may arise.

Electronic Communications

When you use the Thunderbolt Lock website or send e-mails, text messages, and other communications you may be communicating with us electronically. You consent to receive communications (including marketing communications, unless you have opted-out where applicable) from us, such as e-mails, texts, mobile notices, notices, and similar. You agree that all notices, disclosures, agreements, and other communications that we provide to you electronically satisfy any legal requirement that such communication is in writing and that you agree to accept these notices.

Installers

Thunderbolt Locks provide this list of possible installers, however, we can not guarantee their work and we encourage you to talk to the installer prior to installation to make sure you feel confident with their service and pricing. Thunderbolt Locks, Inc. takes absolutely no responsibility for any work, costs, damages, loss of warranty, or any disputes with any installer either listed or not listed on our website. Thunderbolt Locks, Inc. is under no obligation to guide or consult either the customer, third party, or hired installer with the installation process and this includes locating or deciphering, or identifying any of the wires to connect the locks. Keep in mind, it is possible that in some of the same vehicles even from the same manufactured year wires can be located in different locations and even be different colors. An experienced installer should be able to test and identify the correct wires for installing the locks.
