Lock Conversion Relays (LCRs)

Lock Conversion Relays are designed to inhibit the unlock button from functioning unless the key is in the ignition. This will prevent a theif from breaking a front window, opening the door and pressing unlock to gain easy access to the van’s cargo area. Keep in mind not every van needs LCRs. You must check your van to see how your locks function. We encourage you to watch the “How to test your van” video below.

How many LCRs are needed for your van?

Ford Transit: (2) if installing at the Door Handle (highly recommended to save time taking the dash apart)

Ford Transit: (1) if installing at the BCM (more complex with taking apart the dash)

Ford Transit Connect: (1) install at the BCM (under glove compartment)

Chevy Express: (2) install at the Doors

Ford E-Series: (2) install at the Doors
