How to secure a Ford Transit Connect Van from theft. How to protect a Ford Transit Connect Van from getting broken into. Do slick locks work on a Ford Transit Connect Van? Do puck locks work better than deadbolts? We always suggest if you really want to protect your work van, tools and cargo then the absolute best way is layers of security. Make it hard to break in and make it take time. Both Thunderbolts Anti-Theft deadbolt locks and Slick Locks or puck locks in combination with an alarm that works off of movement to the Ford Transit Connect van. The reason is two fold: 1. Thunderbolts Anti-Theft deadbolt locks secure the doors tight like a vault and thieves are unable to get at them. The puck locks work, but can be subject to a break-in a number of ways. The visual of having puck locks on the outside of your Ford Transit Connect van does help deter thieves but in our opinion a lot of thieves will still go at them which is why having an alarm is a good thing and of course Thunderbolts Anti-Theft deadbolt locks will keep them at bay long enough for them to give up. Again layers of protection is the key, but if you were only going to choose one, it has to deadbolt locks because it is the hardest to penetrate, puck locks are more vulnerable and an alarm won't discourage thieves for the first 5 minutes and that is all they need to grab a few tools or goods.
